New Zealand’s northern region has a regionally shared electronic patient record used by over 3000 clinicians daily, and containing over 3 million patient records. Health services and industry partners in the region work collaboratively to provide the right solutions for patient care,  which has driven of a high degree of interoperability across essential clinical IT systems. The Eclair CDR interfaces with over 80 different sources of diagnostic data, from laboratory results, medication records, radiology and imaging reports, growth chart data as well as a range of clinical documents.  This  Sysmex White Paper describes the journey and technologies.
